Good one, Milton. We've all been there and being unemployed does have it's ups and downs. Take care, my friend.

Thanks, Justin. I suppose I'm lucky that I've never been unemployed in my whole life except for very brief periods. I appreciate your comment, Justin.

One can just imagine. I remember, and I'm sure you can, when accepting welfare or uec was considered disgraceful or just short thereof. ~ No more shame

Yes, I know. There was a time when people who drew unemployment (even though they paid into it) were considered just to lazy to look for another job. Actually, some were considered trash! It was not something desirable, by any means, as I recall.

Thanks for the compliment, Malabika. I don't really know anything about unemployment insurance. I have never applied for it or drawn it, period.

You have to file for UI to be on continuous claims. Initial claim is done first. When you use up all of your benefits you will become exhausted.

Thanks for your comment, James. I am not at all up on all of the ramifications of unemployment...just know a lot of people draw it.
