Understanding the Why
"You need to understand the why,
As in “why” we must try
To improve ourselves each day,
Like a foundation that we lay
Building confidence brick by brick,
And upon the candle of desire is lit
To want something more,
Than we had the day before
Beyond the physical,
Or material
Things to accrue,
Consider improving you
Wisdom to understand,
Not all dealt hands are bad
Gratitude for this life,
Challenges help you stay right
Understanding each of us are different,
And the reason to be considerate
Humble for our individual gifts,
And our judgement to answer all the “ifs”
Limit your self doubt,
Belief is what life is about
Consider then today,
An opportunity in play
To make a better “self”,
Starting with me, myself"
