Understanding Friendship

I am at peace, because I understood
My friends are leaving me for good.
I can never say that 
I truly love them.
The lovely memories are like a wonderful song
But maybe I was wrong
Friends are seasonal and don’t last long.
I used to think that
They will be in my heart always.
It took me a while to realise that
I am better off without them.
It would be a lie to say that
I will always love my friends.

(Read from the last line to the first)

I would like to oneday try this. And as for the content what you’ve expressed here, i really can resonate because i always say that too that friends are seasonal etc. and you’ve expressed all that which hits home for me.
