Under the Red Umbrella
The dark thick clouds announced the rain,
It was not long before it started pouring down;
Heavy drops of water on cars sounded like a train,
Bare became the streets of the popular town.
No one was in sight I was left alone dispiritedly,
Protected I was standing at a bus stop shelter;
As the rain became torrential I felt disparagingly,
Fortunately, my mood changed when I first met her.
Walking under a huge red umbrella she was,
She stopped and looked at me with sympathy;
Offering me to walk with her after a short pause,
I accepted her gesture with relief and fragility.
It was not a pleasant walk but we were sheltered,
When she suddenly stopped and started screaming;
I was her target accusing me that she was pestered,
I became lost of words and frightened with her accusing.
I ran away from under the red umbrella quickly,
She stood there crying her heart out in disbelief;
Closing her umbrella and hitting me with it instantly,
When I heard the alarm clock and woke up in relief.
