Under the Radar

so you want a story from your old Capt MIke
well let me dig'z in me pocket for sum-pim ya like

I had needed more money for me to dip-in
so I got a new boat for illegal shrimp-in

a 300 yammaha just wouldn't do
went to the store for another 2

I had to make sure, before I go
that it would out run the radio

it was fast, 100mph it would do
and I called my boat the "Big Bambo"

in the dark, we baited to be slick
then the "BIg Bambo" came an dragged the crick

over the boat, the old net would funnel
mounds of shrimp "ItS over flowing the gunnel!"

then on the radio, my wife I had to hail her
we couldn't stop the boat until it's on the trailer

there was a time, I got bumped on the head
the boat didn't stop until it was in the truck bed

then another time, I ran into a flaw
didn't realize "were being watched by the law!"

so me buddy Joey went to pop the nets
I put it in the corner to see what she gets

in the dark the law couldn't put there eyes on
for the old "Big Bambo" was over the horizon

hidding in creeks around a ridge
or in the shaddows under a bridge

they'd keep lookin thier called the DNR
but they just can't find whats not on radar

close but never caught for me bad deed
there was a few times Joey threw the weed

so they can bend over and praize for what I do
and old Captain Mike will giv'em the "Big Bambo"!
