Under My Sheets

On my majestic king sized bed,
Lies the ultra soft microfleece sheets,
Velvety soft and silky smooth to touch,
Sliding in it seamlessly draws in somnolence,
Consequently closing the sheets like petals.

In the cold comatose mornings,
Just as the sheets open to kiss the sunlight,
Your ambrosial minty bouquet permeates out,
Always raising the hairs at the back of my neck,
Leaving my warm skin with mountainous goosebumps.

Untold epic stories are sedimented beneath the sheets,
A narration of our sleepless nights of passion,
Soaking the sheets with salty sweat,
Divine that we never felt the urge to leave,
Opting to cuddle, all snug and warm.

Under my sheets,
Lies an out of bounds modern palace,
Sanctioned by an angelic epitome of beauty,
Her presence breathes life into it,
An invaluable treasure perches in my bed.
