Under Candle Light

Under Candle Light

Leave the fires to burn in your wake.
Let the people say whatever it is they say.
At the end of the day there is no other way,
Than to be your true-self. There is no other way.

If the fires don’t burn, then wait.
Today may not be your day.
Tomorrow is ok to wait,
For the lightning to strike wherever you may lay.

It’s the magic we need,
So please send it to me,
In a bag or a box,
Or whatever it comes in.
Just let me sprinkle it on my cereals.
However you do,
Just let it always be real.

I must stand against the bad man.
He can’t be allowed to change the person I am.
I will not fall down, that’s not part of my plan.
I’m here for my reckoning,
So what you reckoning man?

If the best is to come,
You’d better see the worst of me.
In a virtual world of insanity,
The liars can never be allowed to speak easy;
For this speak easy only requires truth.
One in, one out, exchange the two.

Cast out the evil that resides in you,
And send me an angel for changing the angles,
And let me find all I need to rearrange,
The candles into a pentagram.
North star burning.
Keep the wheels turning, on this highway to Hell.
Book me a ticket if you are truly down with it,
Because we’ve only got one way to go,
On this merry go road show.

When the fires burn out and I can no longer climb,
I’ll be just fine. Just give me a line to write,
And I’ll keep speaking my truth to you,
With you or without.

When the muses turn mute and the lights are unlit,
I can’t take a hit just for the sake of it.
I still have a pen and a mind of a fist,
Fighting the power, every hour, on the hour,
On your preferred battlefield.

I’m printing steel.
Iron bars of melodies.
Sometimes terror.
Sometimes comedies,
But all future fiction
And reality driven history.
Quote me on that.
I won’t change what made me.

The punctuation is temporary.
The lyrics are literally all I have,
To give to this planet.
I never learned Spanish,
But if I could find one to love,
Then somehow I would have it engraved on my skin.
Like a branded love heart,
I would wear love as a scar,
So honorably and so proudly.

It’s all that matter to a never go far star,
Who poets for pleasure,
In any weather.
Love me or hate me,
I love you or whatever.
