Undeniable Warning

“Necessity is the mother of invention,”
                                     And this is undeniably true,
When the subject is one of contention
                                     Figuring out what to do.

And, when it comes to climate change
                                    Nothing could be more so,
Necessity demands our priorities to rearrange
                                    Before up in flames we go.

Why is it so hard to accept global warming
                                   The evidence is quite clear,
The weather is giving us strong warnings
                                   Danger grows each year.

I suspect we’ve waited much too long
                                   It has gotten out-of-hand
We must quickly do something significant
                                   If we want to save our land.
