Unconnected Silence

I’ve been guarded by a visceral veil, a sea of debris is what’s left of me- Under sapphire skies I used to set sail; now, anyone but me… I wish to be. Uprooted in wonder with manic eyes, with resonating radiance of depth- Disguise of lies whispers none but goodbyes, failing to encompass my farewell breath. Ivory light shines when pain disappears, but after one moment it pours once more- I’m enveloped in solitude with fears on the dirt floor missing those I adore. Silence reflected what I neglected- so melancholy and unconnected. ____________________________________ *I did not think any sonnets from 2019 were my best. thank you dear HT, it was written late, I was tired - felt a little sluggish and "melancholy". Many thanks and hugs to you too x:-)-luloo
