Unconditional Love

There were times when I couldn’t define… The way I felt, the small pieces of me… That I’d kept hidden, safely away… From the world’s eyes. There were parts of my heart… That I wouldn’t allow anyone to see… Little bits of myself that I kept for only me… Because I couldn’t believe anyone would accept… The woman within, the one who had flaws… Faults that came out sometimes, imperfections… That taunted and haunted me, … These, I neglected to reveal… Because I was afraid of being rejected. You taught me that love is unconditional Love sees through the masks, Into the hidden places… Deep inside, behind the walls… Erected to keep away pain and betrayal.
