Uncomplicated Blessings

Both my folks are still alive, blessed and lucky am I.
I have a work I do enjoy
I have a bed, many wish they shared
I have the freedom to be me, many don’t have that liberty
I sometimes cry for things I really don’t need,
Then I look around at those who don’t have the bare necessities
I’m truly blessed to live the life I do,
To pray, to shout, to laugh, to cry,
To see the world through my own eyes…

Whenever we start to feel sorry for ourselves, all we need do is look around at the struggles others are facing. Enjoy every moment you can with your parents, Wilma. I'm glad I did when they were alive and have no regrets about not staying close to them. It sounds like you have a bright perspective on life, my friend. Best wishes for success in Dane Ann's contest. I think she'll love this one. Love, Carolyn
