Unclean

After a bath, i feel clean. but there remains other unwashable things. Spots and stains by many kinds of sin. After a bath and a prayer, inside and out, It is like being , one half clean and the other half marred and soiled by sin! (07.01.2022)

Just wonderful Marshall sahib. As a pastor in Pentecostal Christianity, I preach a similar message. We are potentially clean & saved ( legally, forensicly) but "imperfect heart, will, thought" inclined towards self-righteousness, quasi - independence

Very profound and thought-provoking words. I'm surprised that even with prayer, you say you are soiled by sin. Is there no confession and forgiveness for you? I feel the pain of you saying you still are not clean. Quite a strong poem of mixed emotions.

are you certain, even after a prayer, we are truly cleansed! Only if we knew that our prayer was accepted then we can be sure! there is no way to know that. and in this human life, we all sin continuously without our knowing. This life is a mystery. Thank you very much for your kind comment.

Some people Marshall feel no stain within, not because they are clean, more because they are psychopaths, your poem on the other hand is clean, because it recognises stains, cheers David
