Unavailable Friend

Unavailable Friend

       Where are you my friend?
       It seems you forgot me
Running away when i need you most
When am in problems you seem to repel me

People love me, when you come near me
They always call me, when you are with me
With you in me I can get everything I want
From friends to commodities even buildings

Your presence pushes away hunger and thirst
When clinching to me, I can go wherever I want
But every time I look for you
You seem to leap further away

Every morning I wake up to search for you
For nineteen years I have been in different schools
So that I can learn how to hunt you
But you only trickle to me in droplets
Not even quenching my thirsty wants

Money please I beg you, even if you don’t love me
Come near me, Come in form of silent notes
Even if you appear as many noisy coins, I promise won’t reject you
But please come and relieve me the burden of hustling daily
                 (By Waweru Ngugi)

The root of all evil we call friend :( it is a shame that we do need it to survive. I love the painting you painted with your pen, Waweru. A 7 Hugs Eve
