Unashamed and Proud

I am what has to be
I am me scared and fray
Lost in the light safe in the dark
Plenty of regret
Plenty of escape
Rather run then stand and fight
Locked away what I thought I was
A game of chance
A faint of prediction
There is no way to change
No way to relize all I have become
I must stand in front of my mirror of judgement
And take the heat take it all in
The ugliness the praise
The failure and the success
The gaps in time for which I refuse to see
The reflection of a defeated man
What i see there is misinterpreted
My eyes always stare into the past
The mirror only hides what you let it hide
Because you are judging a book by the cover
Not the world which is willing to read if you let it all be opened unashamed and proud
