Unadorned

Naked, skeletal, the forest shivers. Bark thickening in the wily wind. Unadorned the trees slumber on. Their limbs seeming to fight off the onslaught of nightmarish Winter. Twig tips claw avengingly at the sky and rake torn nails across windowpanes. Slumber soothes not the dreamer who waits in a frenzy of anguish for the kind covering of snow.

A beautiful poem, short, sweet, and appealing with easy stanzas and lines under 10 syllables each. An overall excellent poem. PS....I get it, I'm not entirely daft...just shy.

The imagery in this write will remain on my soul as I await the blanket of snow that all too soon shall cover the ground outside my window. Beautiful writing as always. Smiles from Lolita
