Ulladu Narpadu verse 35

Self is the substratum of existence
everything else being but illusion,
so abiding thus, from God no distance,
we are then free from thought spawned delusion.

Imaginary is wayward ego,
thus knowing we are not this body-mind,
attachments, fears and desires just let go,
by day and night, with light of Self aligned.

Self alone is real and that’s the truth,
inconvenient for ego to accept,
so let us befriend silence now forsooth,
because for far too long our soul has wept.

Self is the truth and silence is the way ~
Oh worthy hermit, with light of truth stay

Stay away from the cacophony of the world, look into self and listen to what the self instructs in silence. This is what the hermits and acharyas of the old used to do and the outcome was enlightenment. Sublime thoughts, dear Seeker friend.

True. Silence (true silence) is the best teacher, for which heart must become peaceful and quiescent, vibrant and yet detached.
