Ulladu Narpadu Addendum 49

Betwixt bliss beats, heart does sigh,
mind at peace, a cloudless sky,
presence vibrant and yet still,
aligns itself with God’s will.

Acknowledging not space-time,
with no mountains left to climb,
love’s bliss flame, our claim to fame,
treats earth life as but a game.

We may be a mere atom,
yet we are the substratum,
that that does not come and go,
cognised in staid stillness slow.

Free from thought, we are stable,
as bliss mists do enable,
transcendent truth undefined,
breath by breath, all breaths entwined.

Love this beautifully rhyming poem and the sublime thoughts it contains. "We may be a mere atom, yet we are the substratum, that that does not come and go, cognised in staid stillness slow." Though insignificant, we are so significant as we are the substratum of everything.

Yes exactly. I’d recommend all to consider reading the translation of Ramana Maharishi’s verses ‘Ulladu Narpadu’ by Tom Das. PDF can be downloaded free. There are excellent lectures on YouTube too by Swami Ramanacharna Tirtha.
