Ugly

Underneath the exterior Gardenias bloom unannounced Lamenting that no one lifts the veil Yearning to be seen...

Ms. Gorelick, I've read several of your creations now. This is a great one. Your poems using rhyme are nice and soothing. You have a soothing quality in your works. I think you have a strong grasp of language and the power of words. I prefer your free verse style. You have nice stories. Keep up the good work Regards, Earl

I love gardenias! What a tragedy if they can't be seen or smelt. Congrats on your win with this sad acrostic. Love, Kim

This is really beautiful even though the word is ugly. I guess the poor dears will wilt into ugliness while staying undiscovered. Love this and congrats to you, Barbara.
