Ugliness

UGLINESS

  There is an ugliness out there
an ugliness that screams 
an ugliness that rages
an ugliness that whispers

  It's whispers say everything is all right
everything will resolve
everything will be dreams, heaven
when you vote for me

  It was always this way, right?
To lead was to hate, fright
those uncommitted to say
protect me sir, from the death

  you preach as the brass bands play
and sing your praises in a timeforgotten world
while the world marches on, crazily
without a leader

Thank you all for your welcome and comments. I am definitely an amateur, but do enjoy crafting paintings with words. Occasionally I do obtain a nice composition! I ma looking forward to posting another soon. - Fritz Crytzer

A day late, and a dollar short! But, I am a retired Civil Servant, and have worked for the (OH GOD) U.S. Army for 30 years. I love writing poetry, and sometimes, just get carried away! I also read (who doesn't?), learn History, play a little beginner music, and, well, what else do you want to do? I am very eclectic, I guess. There is more, but . . . . ?
