Just for fun. I saw two buzzards in a dead pine tree yesterday and turn my head to keep following them for an idea for a poem came to mind but then I started seeing stars and polka dots from putting pressure on a herniated disc in my neck. LOL..

Two old buzzards stand High in a dead slick pine tree Vision limited Two old people speed in pick-up One turns head sees polka-dots No chance of seeing Flamingoes anywhere near Polka-dotted stars appear Turning my head like an owl Herniated disc cracks loud

Wow, you provided some great imagery in your poem, Sara. While there are plenty "old buzzards" where I live, you won't find wild flamingos here either. I think Jack was amused by the herniated disk cracking when you turned to follow the birds. Won't make me laugh because I hear them each day. Really enjoyed your double tanka! Best wishes, carolyn
