Two Minds
How to see the beauty,
You see through eyes that are not open.
A world so bright and colourful,
Yet with no lights, you see no hope.
The moonlight fills the air,
Now the darkness can take the night.
There's a beacon in the distance,
Which poses the question, where do we stay?
The beauty and the light
Or
The darkness and the night?
Waking with thoughts,
Your ideas are torture.
I write to clear my mind,
You punish yourself with ideals and what ifs.
I clear the landscape to find the new,
Your neglecting each side of the tale.
The horizon is clear,
Conflict is there.
So to clear my mind, should I
Speak up and fight
Or
Be open to what's right?
Smells tease my senses,
Whilst walking the same path?
New beginnings and wonder everywhere,
Blinded, confused and full of torment.
I see smiles and laughter fills my ears,
Noisy distractions for a filled mind.
With both sides within my head, do I
Stop in fear
Or
Let my fears become clear!
