Daniel, you're onto something important! I think I might classify some emotions as negative....but those are telling us that we are not happy with where we are. They're messages that call for some kind of action. I'm referring to jealousy, envy, etc. Your question--how we help others and ourselves--indicates that we agree on what we're aiming for regardless of how we characterize the emotion. I used to listen to Dr. David Viscott who had a lot to say about this. You're wonderful and I might change how I view this. Smiles!!

Hello Duke, Good to read your note this morning. There is a therapy modality that I use called ACT. In this modality I learned that there are no positive or negative emotions; there are emotions. Once we start judging our emotions and others emotions we start to put ourselves on a higher or lower scale that can have all kinds of consequences. The question is how do we live a life worth living and help our fellow humans to find a life worth living for them? We engage with love and care and help point the direction. Sorry, I guess I am getting into my philosophy / psychology world. LOL! Spring Blessings, My Friend, Daniel
