Two Directions At Once

What they think of you
What you think of yourself
    Are not always
the same
Your
       dreams
are yours alone
        there are
     those
who will
         try to
disparage your efforts
Some mean well - some don't
        Take the path
which you must take
         Even if you it
means you are pulled in
two directions at once
     The climb up the
mountain
              is a long one
and fraught with
peril
     Yet if you do not
attempt it
   you will be
tossed about like
a kite in a strong wind
You may seek
         advice
but in the end
   You choose the
road you wish to
       follow
That path was made for you
It was laid out ages ago
            and not by
                      chance
     have you stumbled
upon it
     Fog obscures your vision
              but in the
distance
            the goal is
vaguely visible
          Despite the
difficulties
You will soon
reach up and
touch the sky!

This reminds me of that sonnet I did, On the Avenue of Aimless End! Except I think my ultimate message was a little different. It's always fun to see what you have stored way back here in the dungeons!! Hmm, I was gonna answer a question you asked me What was it? I better go see!!
