Notes About The Poem

Nothing like the Angels I saw, plus mine had no wings!

Two Angels:

Again another day has come to pass, I sit here sober, looking at an empty glass. For if I could tell you the things I've seen, You would reply, I'm living in a dream. I've seen two angels in my lifetime, Both in spirit, both shared a sign. One held my heart in her open palm, As I lifted my head still remaining calm. The other appeared to me when I was at death's door, She hovered above the ground never touching the floor. I saw a golden vessel it was right by her side, Containing all knowledge inside it did reside. But my eyes were fixed on the beauty she did bestow, Surrounded by coloured textures and how they did glow. Exhilaration filled my mind I was no longer in fright, I just couldn't believe this beauty was in my sight. So this is my story of when I had died, Now I'm a firm believer in the other side. And if you doubt what I have said is true, Then you shall see with your own eyes too.

Hello White Wolf. Good Morning. I see such beauty within your words and thoughts not to mention flow. Your words are as gentle as an angel itself. The rhyme is in excellent form and never forced. Very poetic I say. Well done throughout.

Thank you, Wesley! The first one is a long story, but the second one appeared when I actually died in ICU a couple of years ago!

I knew you were an ambassador from heaven, Wolfie... meaning you are in touch with your Angels...all poets are conduits of Angels...many just don’t know it yet...we are messengers of the messenger’s lol...I’ve had similar experiences, my friend...the Angel on my shoulder is the Arch Angel Metatron...he is the Angel that gave me my name...he is the one that sends silent whispers of life, lament, laughter, and love...I’m glad you found yours...write on my friend...god bless...^WW^

This is SO wonderful, White Wolf. I sure hope I have a guardian angel. If I do, she works mostly on the freeway for me!! I've escaped quite a few accidents. Gotta fave this one.

A very insightful poem. Why do I say this, perhaps not for the usual reasons. The detail for one thing you include here bringing the reader into the depths of the poem. The rhyming is unexpected, rather than expected, thus reinforcing the rhythm of the couplets. Then the idea, the angels, you don't need to be a poet to seem them "with your own eyes". Nicely rendered. John
