Twin Souls

For centuries we have shared a common goal
Awakening memories recalling we are twin souls!
For so long I felt emotionally incomplete
I needed your love to encourage my aching heartbeat!
We wandered long through life’s good and bad on this crazy earth
Never knowing we were destined to be together, long before our mortal birth
We were just not able to control our fate, now we, you and I united, eternal soul mates,
Twin souls
		~ * ~
For centuries, our souls journeyed to this time and place
Searching, restless throughout our days
Living on borrowed emotions to ease the pain!
So many barriers, so many games
		~*~
Like butterflies sip nectar from wild flowers in the fields
We had to live! At all costs! Pure love our only shield
Never comprehending, the insatiable hunger!
The tiresome yearning for something more, 
‘Til cries so deep crossed chasm wide did break the bow
Forever shattering the invisible capsule which essence enthralled
Finally, breathless, emotions exploding! we met, eternal soul mates,
Twin souls
