Twin Riders of the Damned

Twin Riders of Death By Jim Campbell Desert riders approaching From the towers Torches burning Dark knights All in black Fear of death Impending attack Horses breathing Their cold steel breath Drama unfolding Like Shakespeare’s Mac Beth Heavy castle doors closing Through the courtyard There’s foreboding Children their mothers holding Poor timing For there won’t be A second for crying As in the graveyard The corpses dance For they’ll soon Have new friends The soldiers are gathering To make Their final stand A futile stance Not a chance Given From The Twin riders Of the damned
