Author's Notes: I just completed "Twilight Whispers" earlier today. It started out as a "fun-write" of sorts, but then I discovered a special metaphor concerning "whisper-like tones" to describe the conversation between the couple in the poem as they walked slowly along in this lush forest. With the couple's whisper-like tones, I was then able to liken their signification to a type of ethereal reality of a "mythic rhythm," which became a sort of magical convergence factor for the "souls of the couple" and the "spirits of the forest" to essentially become one toward the end. This particular moment, for me, metaphorically pointed to a type of "spiritual epiphany." At least, this was my eventual conclusion as this verse unfolded over time.
