Dawn returns the light
stolen by twilight
shadows.
With the stars still bright
and the bats in flight;
Sol shows.
And lured by daylight;
butterflies alight
and pose.
Sunbeams stroke each rose,
as though they were froze
in time.
And scented primrose
flowers make meadows
sublime.
Sweet odors arose
and tickled my nose;
Springtime.
Nature in Her prime;
a perfect, Showtime
delight.
Though night flees in time,
church bells and owls chime;
goodnight.
And Sol starts to climb,
imbuing daytime
with light.
