Twilight Settles In

Twilight settles in
     after the wind drops off
   when the lightning bugs
     flash on and off
   and the crickets
     ratchet up their screeching

   later, still as a cemetary
     ~ dead of the night

The lightning bugs and cricket put on quite the show, don't they?

Certainly, the lightning bugs and crickets are a better show than what's on TV these days. ~ Mayberry Man

I can sense your words on a hot summer day in my back yard to enjoy Gershon...

Nice one, gw. I'll take the dead of night, if you don't mind.
