Twenty Years of Spaces Filled

So much easier to pack the car, no litter box, no carrier - space for other things. So much easier at motels, unloading it all and no hide and seek at morning departure - less stress and time for other things. At home, no litter box in the hall, a space now for shoes and boots and in the cupboard where the "Fancy Feast" and "Temptation" treats were found, space now for, I don't know, other stuff. So much room, so empty, that space within our hearts ...

My cat Priscilla was 20 years old when she crossed the rainbow bridge years and years ago. I've never had another. Now my stepdaughter's cat who is 25 years old will be leaving us soon. Your poem brings a tear to my eyes!!!!

Oh, emotive piece Craig! I know that space. I remember stepping over that space not liking it one bit. I moved pretty quickly to refill it. Lovely, lovely penning. xomo
