'twas a Deep Vermilion

'twas a deep vermilion
sky tonight, as if her heart bleeds
an angry dark blue, shooting through
stunning, menacing too
moons tranquility stills the night

As the moon is wont to do. She has that calming influence, doesn't she? Tonight my sweetheart and I sat on lawn chairs singing moon songs in harmony as we watched the rise of the Super Moon. I soaked in enough 'moonness' to keep me calm at least another week! Loved your excellent poem. Many blessings, dear friend.

ohhhh... the picture of you both singing moon songs awaiting her arrival was utterly adorable John and so romantic... after watching her rise from the sea I sat on my balcony just soaking up the joy and peace I get each time I see her. Thank you for your lovely comments dear John. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

Stirring, especially how the tranquility of the moon brings calm to turbulent feelings, this should do well in the contest!
