Turning Pages

In the blink of an eye, the devil and I, surrender or die
Out on a limb, lose it or win, love it or sin
My love is drowning, forever frowning, no more clowning
Tears that bring, a shattered spring, a runaway ring
The trap was set, on the night we met, I do regret
Cold as ice, no more spice, tighten the vice
Fire and haze, I’m still in a haze, lost in a maze
Life or death, morphine or meth, take your last breath
Fallen angels, turning pages, crushing creations
Left behind, with a manqué mind, one of a kind.

So much imagery of hurt and sadness in your 'lost love' poem, ^WW^. Nicely written with internal rhymes and congratulations on your nice placement. Sandra

Your triple internal rhymes were wonderful. When something is over, I always say, "turn the page." Not so easy to do when it's love that's been lost. Well done, WW and a hug.
