Turned Around

Hateful as they may be, to the eye
and ear, the elimination of words,
statues, ideas, etc., will do nothing
toward making a venom free society –

to flood with light, explaining,

though far more difficult,
more laborious (seemingly impossible
at times) is the only palatable good.

A great, natural builder, artist,
builds his (his/hers – God I hate this,
Politically Correct) foundation using
those odd, irregular stones as well as the
seeming, symmetrically perfect –

variations, outliers are a blessing,
and not a Cosmic Blemish –

the fault, if any to be laid, is when using
ourselves, needlessly, hurtfully -- making
arrow-heads of the pen's of Valentines...

Taking free-thought away from children
will only do away with individuality,

leaving soulless shells instead --

not cleansed human beings, ready for
fresh priming; but globs of rancid, detergent
filled sponges -- the soppy, dead remains,
of what were once, thriving, healthy, alive
brains...

gone any true worthfulness, and sense
of sacred being....

Joe, we destroy our history and tragically it will be repeated because our children will not be informed......and so the vicious cycle of a world at odds continues. Take Care, Paulette

Very wise and thoughtful comment. I fear, too often we are just speaking to the choir. I am afraid that, so long as people focus more on changing the outward -- and less the inward -- nothing will change for the truly better. The outward always a refection of what is inside. Blessings! Your analysis and input really made my day.

Sad but true, when I saw statues of the past, I thought, - how beautiful, how tragic, may we learn for our children's sakes but alas, we hide it, tear it down, easily overlook in hopes to forget rather than learn.

One cannot forget what is manufactured within...these things are only reflections of ourselves -- until selves are changed, sights and sounds will always be reproduced a-new, in one alternate form or another. In essence, that same old. Thank you, DM., your comments have made my day. Blessings!
