Darkened clouds--in cobalt blue morning sky A terror of tears-- in reigning happy smiles A loving heart's bold acclaim--grief's its strength Neighborhood of vibrant mind--a colony of fears Sullen memoirs unfolding--an old book of life Night's ruptured dreams-- a gift forlorn Life's turbulence has dreary shapes and sounds May 3, 2019 HM: Strand select P contest by Brian Strand

What terrible contradictions.... This world seemingly peaceful is full of violence and rebellion . Under the veneer of innocence and truthfulness lies deceit and treachery. Beneath the surfacing happiness, sorrows lurk ! This ambivalence of life, you have masterfully traced!

I think that "life's turbulence" paves the way for more beauty hiding inside us to come out to surface.. Another taste of ink.. a different colour of words.. still, beauty is of a higher level!
