Tumbling

I've paid a price, more times than not Through life, my cost was high From bottoms up, then down I fought At times, too tired to try Why do I slide on down this hill? One way is all it goes You'd think I'd learned my lesson now Yet, down is all I know Just to climb up, I'm fighting still Yet, I can't see the crest Just as I reach the top I feel One rock falls, then the rest Why must I rise to fall once more? You'd think by now I'd know Instead of peaking at the top Rock bottom....here I go!
