Tug of War

He tugs dad this way He tugs mom that way They forget he is there And quarrel with each other ... Driven to distraction They speak freely, candidly, even brutally Their son learns that marriage is not always a bed of roses And that they love him -- and each other -- more than ever

Wow! Your poem speaks with wisdom, truth and loads of love, Gershon. Nothing strengthens the bonds quite like those tugs.. there's a real security in knowing that no matter how hard the tug, or how many, they won't pull you apart. Expressed with a beautiful and genuine heart my friend.. Love the title too! Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

I am truly grateful for your comments, Susan. They have encouraged me greatly, renewing my faith in my ability to battle the blank word.doc to at least a draw on a daily basis … if not better. Best wishes always, Gershon
