Notes About The Poem

Tsunami

Tsunami

People watching
Small waves rolling,
Sea birds chattering
Seeking shelter;
Tsunami approaching
Island sanctuary.

People fleeing,
Water smashing,
Buildings levelled,
Trees uprooted,
Bodies floating
Out to sea.

Tsunami!
Survivors
Counting
Blessings.
