Trying To Change
I try to change who I am
But who I am doesn't want to change
I try to adapt to step into the stream (of normality)
But I can't seem to adapt fast enough
I try to not stand out
but others are so different from me
That if I stand in their midst
I am different and I don't like it
I try to change but can't
I try to adapt but can't
I try to blend but can't
So I won't try anymore
I won't change but I will be
The Change
I will stand out and
not tyr to blend in,
I am the change,
And the one to show the way
I will change those who try to change me.
