Notes About The Poem

" WISHED TRUTH TO KNOW" FROM MY ROOF TOP GARDEN, 02 JULY 2017, MY PHOTO, ©

Truth Wished To Know

There was once a man that wished truth to know

His heart and soul with knowledge to glow

Studied every single day

Whatever found on his way

Soon he found out in wisdom couldn't grow!

now that is not a funny limerick but it makes us reach the conclusion that the fellow should have been practicing what he was learning!

Is not funny? Should it be? In philosophical circles it could be hilarious my dear, Andrea, hahaha! Here what I say is that one that learns a lot of things it doesn't mean that he is wise as well! As far as the Limerick form is concerned, although basically is a form to express humor it doesn't exclude serious writing. Does it? I have seen many serious Limericks! To conclude the "fellow" practiced his learning at the moment he realized he could not be wise just by learning what others have written! Probably, your comment is "a message to be deciphered" in that case I give up! Thank you for your visit dear friend! PS: You say "makes us reach..." who is "us" does it mean all those who have visited or "us" means only you? God bless you!
