Truth In Numbers

"THE whole truth and nothing but the truth" .......

I flunked my math test and I never felt so blue
Geometry I could just not do
Algebra came easy
Other subjects were breezy
Sadly off the honor roll I flew.

Was the very first time I failed a test
I should have cheated to avoid the stress
But that would be wrong
My morals were too strong
I felt like a failure I must confess.

Teacher moved my desk way up in the front
My eyesight is not the problem I grunt
He said, just pay attention
Or I will add detention
You will learn, his intentions were blunt.

Many hours I tried to comprehend
I think his teaching skills I did offend
Plenty of intimidation
Loads of frustration
For I did not learn 'G' in the end.

Childhood stress made by hard school subjects. A great write. It touched us all as we remembered our own struggles. Congratulations on the win. Your syle of straight forward images is brilliant in your poetry.

Very funny and clever. You may not be good with numbers, but you have a real talent with words. Joe

If algebra was easy, geometry should have been no problem...but then, who am I to judge? I hope your math skills have improved....and I did enjoy your amusing poem.

Give me the equation and I could do it, just hated the riddle part in geometry.
