TRUTH GLITTERS FABLE
An honest wood cutter, earning bread and butter
cutting branches and woods n dense forest and wood.
While cutting boughs, his axe slipped! He turned perplexed.
Axe fell on the pond beside. feeling helpless he sighed.
God of pond rose from lake offered gold axe to take,
asking ‘Is this yours? See’‘. No. Not belongs to me.’
God brought old axe to him:Wood cutter’s face to gleam.
God gave gold axe to bless:Reward for truthfulness
Rumor reached wicked man: Instantly he made plan.
With an axe rushed to lake, threw axe in pond, cried fake.
God came out of the pond to listen and to respond.
Showing wooden and gold axes to him, God told,
‘Now tell me, which is yours?’
‘Gold one is mine, of course.’
God threw axes in pool,
said, ’Greedy man, you fool.
"Nothing to achieve through lies.
Only TRUTH can bring prize."
