Trusted Friends

Healthy friendships don’t just happen,
and social media can never compare.
To a face up meeting with a trusted friend,
who has voiced your name in prayer.
In healthy friendships mutual respect is vital,
whether joy, or sadness, the other feels it too.
True friends can be real, concerning their faults,
as they number memories they’ve seen accrue.
Each day in prayer as we remember their name,
God’s blessings just seem to keep on mounting.
Without our friends, life would be nondescript,
with no date of meeting for joyous recounting.
