Trust Or Faith

The person who is trustworthy in small matters is also trustworthy in great ones. - St. Luke 16:10; 16:9-15

We practice trust all the time
We trust other people – pilots, plumbers, teachers, letter carriers, car mechanics, Church ministers,Engineers
Closer to home, we trust our spouse, children, friends and neighbors
We trust things too
The chair we sit on, the car we drive, the steps we walk down, the bridge we drive over everyday

We would not live a normal life without trust
Trust is a glue that holds the community together
It makes society possible

That’s why dishonesty and betrayal are such serious offenses
They not only damage a personal relationship
They wear away the larger community

Today’s Gospel reminds us of the importance of personal integrity
How trustworthy am I in small and great matters?
Whom do I trust?
How much do I really trust Eternal God?

Note: Eternal God, I thank You for all the trustworthy people and things in my life.
