Trust Me Baby This Is Love

You have planted roses into my blind mind.
They etch fire into my thoughts of you alone.
Though, flowers can one day wilt, how unkind.
Fire is way too warm for air's cold condone.

The red wine color has gotten my clear soul drunk.
My tongue has been burnt with this brightened blaze.
This ruby blossom shall even be seen at dusk.
Shimmering sparks deserve mountains of praise.

But I'll find a way to show you it all.
Wilt as you may, still, you shall be revived.
These flames will fight time and be ranked tall.
Life without your glow will be highly despised.

I know these sweet words are just not enough.
Nevertheless, just trust me, baby, this is love!
