Trust

Once trust is lost,
only time,
forgiveness,
and a whisper from God,
allow damaged hearts to mend.
Freedom to love others,
the chance to find another again.
Friendships able to come into play,
Only when both able to listen to validate their actions, their days. Understanding can replace scorn. Connections no longer need to be torn. To protect against the fear of repetition. Wish gaps of silence, in all families, could be ended by petition. Wouldn’t it be grand. If we learned a way to overcome gaps between brothers and sisters, young and old, why not the family of man? Perhaps whatever the source, whispers can be heard, if we begin to listen.
