Trust
Our world is changing at an alarming rate
It seems people have such fear and hate
Where some believe are victims of fate
And selfishness only leads to separate
When others seemingly choose to do harm
Meeting strangers set off an internal alarm
Fear and distrust, some feel it’s time to arm
Because of past lies, fearing the false charm
Betrayed by your government, those you stood behind
Be riddled by a system, that’s treating you so unkind
BeIng seduced by the lies, constantly betraying all kind
Being sold by all the wealthy, manipulating all mankind
Trust once betrayed, hurt may never recover
Trust is earned, sometimes too late to discover
Trust is the cornerstone, in the heart of your lover
Trust, such a gift to give, for the truest to uncover
Trust only those who are truly worthy of your trust
Trust is a gift, given only to those who gain your trust
Trust your heart to show whom you can truly trust
Trust only in those few who have earned your trust
