True Strength

You've always been strong,
But have you been gentle (with yourself).

You've always been strong.
But have you been vulnerable (with others).

You've always been strong.
But have you been dependent (on God).

Too often we count the cost of softness,
Valuing strength above all else.

But there is a cost to this strength,
That we don't want to see.

It's a wall built on lies,
So you never know free.
