True Love Waits

Today I felt my life come to an end You took the best of me without a thought For you was it just a game of pretend Within your web of sultry I was caught I don't believe that you ever loved me Is it possible that I could be wrong Did love somehow make you my enemy and now I'm left to sing this horrid song With sexy heels you stomped upon my heart I cried as I watched you walk out the door If only I had known from the start I wouldn't be a puddle on the floor Without you I don't think I will survive When you were with me I felt so alive I have missed you please won't you come back The sky without you is no longer blue Open the door of your love just a crack Kiss me baby I want to be with you I forgive you please dear won't you come home Not one day is complete without your love For you I'll write my thoughts within this poem My dear you are a vision from above Day and night you are always on my mind Your beauty is truly beyond compare There is no greater love that I will find A life of bliss together we can share Today my life it truly has begun I'll worship you as if you were the sun Thankfully a fictional write. Even if Phillip will never judge this, it was a great contest... The first contest sonnets I wrote for Soup. I am awed by yours, they are wonderful. Really the push away-pull back in... Good it is fictional :)

I can write as you do also and those who read me think I am spilling my heart, especially my friends - I tell them no, I am a writer with a great imagination - yes, it is all fictional. WTG with these two heartfelt Sonnets... 7!

How a blessed with much happiness man can write painful poem as this? A beloved who is forgiven will always live in the shadow of his betrayal thus love would never grow my friend, Richard. I have to admit the power and beauty of your poem is evident!
