True Love Calls

The mourning dove’s perch coo signals he’s alone:
Calling to another as a life-long mate,
searching to find a love he can call his own
and form a bond so strong it shall not abate.

Death cannot these creatures’ devotion unthrown!
Connection defying mortality’s fate
offers hope to lonely souls who life has shown
passion to be rare and rarely to be great.

The male attracts a partner to cuddle with.
Love eternal aggrandized! (Pathetic myth.)
