True Love a Realistic Veiw

True Love A Realistic View. True love Is not always an idyllic romantic affair Roses given may include the thorns And everything changes Nothings certain After a baby is born It takes two to have a relationship And only one to break it up It’s easy to become strangers at heart If you don’t drink from the same cup Soon as a couple has bonded and are committed One may feel they don’t have to try any more Courting goes through the window The others heading for the door Money can be a problem And create a wall Just like Humpty Dumpty Your heading for a fall True love is wiping a partners snotty nose And doing things you don’t want to Like doing the garden and using a water hose True love is living to make someone happy And forgetting yourself Putting up with your partners bad habits And caring in sickness and health Doing and sharing things together Being best friends Listening and trying to understand The woman And the man True love is getting up at four in the morning On a cold winters day When you feel like going back to bed But you need to provide And earn your pay People can sometimes mistake lust For love One foot in the bedroom The other out the door With more than clothes Left on the bedroom floor One may think the grass is greener on the other side For selfish ego And foolish pride Relationships are like flowers That need nurturing With with tender care And compassion Being able to pick up the pieces when things blow The greatest love is a Mothers love And learning to love oneself Being content with what you have And loving God above. - A poem of truth, Peter - We must be able to drink from the same cup ... my, husband is my best friend ... both with and without snotty nose ... - The grass is rarely better on the other side, but many believe it ... sad but true ... love should withstand storm and thunder :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)
